Lindsay Lauver (she/her) joined CrEST in December 2022 after spending over four years as department manager and graduate advisor in the UCSC Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics. Lindsay has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and undergraduate degrees in Gender Studies and Linguistics from Indiana University. Lindsay has over thirteen years of progressive management and advising experience in higher education (study abroad, public and private colleges, and a community college), as well as management and counseling experience in non-profit/social justice organizations. She is grateful to support work which connects students to their unique capabilities and passions, encourages critical thinking, and expands access to academic opportunities to those who wouldn’t otherwise have them. Lindsay lives in Los Angeles with her spouse, Nathan, and enjoys going to concerts, spending time in nature, comedy, interior design, gardening, and is currently hoarding indoor plants.
